PUNCH® Mount Kenya

Arabica coffee was introduced to Kenya from Ethiopia via Aden by Catholic missionaries, and PUNCH® Mount Kenya is one of the world’s finest Arabica coffees.

These coffee beans are large and dense, and filled with the treasured oils that give a fabulous aroma and intense flavour.

Kenyan coffee is on top of the world because of the especially rich volcanic soils found in the highlands of Kenya between 1500 meters and 2000 meters above sea level, coupled with a pleasant climate neither hotter than a European summer nor cooler than the best European spring.

This, combined with the meticulous, resilient and perfectionist nature of the Kenyan farmer in hand picking, grading according to its parchment weight, fermenting for 24 to 48 hours to give it a rich flavor, then washing and sun-drying on elevated mesh tables, before milling and grading, ensures the very best coffee quality.

After milling, the coffee is catalogued and taken to the Nairobi Coffee Exchange where it is fiercely bid for by export companies from all corners of the world.
